The Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians teamed up with Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District to put on a fireworks show that lit up the San Jacinto Valley skies – and computer screens for those that livestreamed it. Both entities are well known for their annual spectacular pyrotechnic displays but due to COVID-19 limits on public gatherings, things were done differently this year.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, serving the city of La Quinta, wants to remind residents ALL fireworks are illegal in La Quinta. This includes “Safe and Sane” fireworks such as sparklers.

During the month of June 2020, deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station, County Problem Oriented Policing Team, conducted an investigation regarding the illegal sales of fireworks occurring within the city of Lake Elsinore.
