California’s COVID-19 orange tier: Here’s what restrictions loosen

Sacramento, Nevada, San Joaquin and Solano counties are moving to California's orange, or moderate, tier of COVID-19 restrictions, which will increase the numbers of those allowed indoors at museums, places of worship, gyms and other places. Retail will no longer have capacity restrictions.

The band was scheduled to return last year, but the show became one of 20 concerts lost to the Covid-19 pandemic.

NEW YORK (AP) — Moviegoing increasingly looks like it didn't die during the pandemic. It just went into hibernation. John Krasinski's thriller sequel “A Quiet Place Part II” opened over the Memorial Day weekend to a pandemic-best $48.4 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. Including the Monday holiday, the studio forecasts the film will gross $58.5 million in North America. It added another $22 million in ticket sales overseas.

PHOENIX (AP) — An increasing number of American citizens have been apprehended as they have tried to smuggle illegal drugs into the U.S. since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, an uptick that's come amid travel restrictions at the border with Mexico.
