The Biden-Harris administration today submitted to Congress the president’s budget for fiscal year 2022. As the administration continues to make progress defeating the pandemic and getting our economy back on track, the budget makes historic investments that will help the country build back better and lay the foundation for shared growth and prosperity for decades to come.

The IRS has issued some 165 million payments in the third round of direct stimulus aid, with another 1 million people this week in line to receive the $1,400 checks. But some lawmakers are pushing for a fourth round of stimulus aid that would effectively send recurring payments until the pandemic ends.

This past Saturday, Matt McPherson’s Downtown Hemet Farmer’s Market, hosted a car show in the back parking behind Team Quest Gym.

Several months ago, the Soboba Casino Resort marketing department, led by Chief Marketing Officer Martin Moore, started to formulate a plan for a new and exciting event they could host at the resort in the spring. The result was a Food Truck Fiesta held on May 15 and 16.

Late last week, the Hemet City Council held a session on the upper patio of the Hemet Public Library. What started out as a warm late afternoon ended up after dark like a night in Alaska. The wind gusts were harsh and bitter. One could applaud the brave souls that stayed until the end.
