Pfizer Inc. said Monday that its COVID-19 vaccine may be a remarkable 90% effective, based on early and incomplete test results that nevertheless brought a big burst of optimism to a world desperate for the means to finally bring the catastrophic outbreak under control.
Riverside University Health System (RUHS) received a $625,000 grant from the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) to expand access to primary care, making it the only hospital in the Inland Empire to win the full award. The grant will allow RUHS to train an increased amount of residents on campus and provide the resources they need to succeed.

On Nov. 3, 2020 the Riverside County Public Health Officer and the California Department of Public Health has approved the Corona-Norco Unified School District’s TK-6 Waiver application to reopen elementary schools for in-person instruction. This is the first waiver approved for a public school district in Riverside County.
