Mother arrested in deaths of 3 children in East Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Detectives arrested a mother for investigation of murder in the deaths of her three small children — including a newborn baby — in East Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday.
Police kill man near California pot farms evacuated by fire
WEED, Calif. (AP) — Officers shot and killed a man who pulled a gun as they tried to keep him out of a complex of marijuana farms in an area of far Northern California where thousands of people were ordered to evacuate as a wildfire raged during a heat wave enveloping part of the U.S. West, authorities said.
Traffic Stop Results in Weapon Arrest
On June 23, 2021 at approximately 3:30 p.m., members of the Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Los Alamos Road / I-215 Freeway in the City of Murrieta. A subsequent search of the driver’s vehicle revealed a loaded 9mm handgun and 50 rounds of ammunition. The driver Tyree Morrow, a 22-year old resident of Menifee was arrested and booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center.
Illegal Marijuana Cultivation / Chop Shop
Deputies assigned to Palm Desert Station conducted an investigation regarding illegal marijuana cultivation at a residence, located near the 17000 Block of Ashton Drive in the community of Sky Valley. During their investigation deputies also discovered numerous cars on the property that were in various stages of dismantling.
Sex Trafficking Arrests
On Tuesday, June 22, 2021, members of the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team (SET) with the assistance of the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force (RCAHT), and the Southern Coachella Valley Community Services District (SCVCSD) conducted a sex trafficking operation in the city of La Quinta.
