Noli Indian School Culture teacher Tashina Miranda Ornelas is thankful that she has been able to expand her high school students’ lessons to include sharing what they learn with Soboba Tribal Preschool students.
The Soboba Tribal Member Employment Development Training Program was launched in 2014 and has been successful in meeting its goal of preparing workers to follow their career choice.
The annual Soboba Gives Back! Toy Drive took a little more planning to implement this year but with the help of many dedicated volunteers, including members of the Soboba Youth Council, lots of children throughout the San Jacinto Valley will have a great new toy this Christmas. Soboba Foundation members worked closely with employees at the Soboba Casino Resort to allow toy donations to be dropped off at the Event Center on six consecutive Tuesdays from Nov. 10 through Dec. 15.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Soboba Aquatics Center at San Jacinto High School featured a crowd of excited students, staff and community members. Not just because the $6.5 million project was unveiled on August 30 but because a fundraiser was held to determine who would take the first jump into the pool.
