On Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 7:00 A.M. deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) with the assistance of Riverside County Sheriff’s Department SWAT served a search warrant at a residence in the 85500 block of Stacie Lane in the city of Coachella.

On November 22nd, 2020, at 1:05 A.M., deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) conducted a traffic stop at Vine Avenue cross of 2nd Street in the city of Coachella. Contacted was Eduardo Chan, 27 of Coachella, who was found to be on probation.

On September 8, 2020, about 6:10 PM, the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) served a weapons related search warrant within the 49100 block of Pluma Verde Place, Coachella. Ulises Serrano-Cortez, 23 of Coachella and Adrian Serrano-Cortez, 21 of Coachella were arrested for weapons charges. Both were booked into jail.

Mason Drew Kohler, 31, was booked on felony murder, hit-and-run death, and DUI charges, according to the Riverside County jail roster, which lists a Hemet PD arrest at Palm Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue. Hemet police say two pedestrians on an electric scooter were struck there about 6:55 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22; one was pronounced dead. Police have not named the driver, and the decedent's identity remains withheld.
