As I do not wish to hazard the automobile traffic between my garage in San Jacinto and the route up to Simpson Park, I load my bike in the Tundra and take Columbia St. almost until it ends at Stetson Ave. I take out the bike, cross Stetson and continue until I hit Crest, one of the lovelier streets in Hemet.

On December 3, 2020, Congressman Raul Ruiz, M.D. (CA-36) introduced legislation to ensure timely Medicare coverage of groundbreaking early cancer detection tests for our nation’s seniors. The bipartisan legislation recognizes emerging advances in our nation’s fight against cancer by creating a Medicare coverage pathway for new innovative tests that detect multiple types of cancer before symptoms develop. Dr. Ruiz introduced the Multi-Cancer Early Detection Screening Coverage Act alongside Reps. Terri Sewell (AL-07), Jodey Arrington (TX-19), and Richard Hudson (NC-08).

The Soboba Health Clinic operated by Riverside-San Bernardino County Indian Health Inc. has been a mainstay for the Native American population for many years. More than 15 years ago, talks began about expanding the clinic to better serve the community.

Well, it’s finally here! We knew it was coming but this year we’ve all just been so busy we haven’t had time to think much about it. Christmas! Finally!! If ever there was a year when this amazing and delightful holiday was needed, it’s 2020!
