Report: Solar could power 40% of US electricity by 2035

Solar energy has the potential to supply up to 40% of the nation’s electricity within 15 years — a 10-fold increase over current solar output, but one that would require massive changes in U.S. policy and billions of dollars in federal investment to modernize the nation's electric grid, a new federal report says.

Search Warrant for Marijuana Cultivation and Theft of Utility Services

On Tuesday, September 7, 2021, personnel from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department-Perris Station and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection served a search warrant for marijuana cultivation and theft of utility services in the 23000 block of Sky Mesa Road in the unincorporated area known as Homeland.

Commercial Burglary Arrest

Palm Desert Station Burglary Suppression Unit (BSU) conducted further investigation regarding a commercial burglary that occurred on August 31, 2021 in the 34000 block of Monterey Avenue, Palm Desert. The suspect in this investigation forced his way into the business and had taken several hundred dollars from within the business.
