Palm Desert Station Burglary Suppression Unit (BSU) conducted further investigation regarding a commercial burglary that occurred on August 31, 2021 in the 34000 block of Monterey Avenue, Palm Desert. The suspect in this investigation forced his way into the business and had taken several hundred dollars from within the business. BSU identified Kenneth Cook, 45 years of Thousand Palms, as a suspect for his involvement in the burglary. On September 7, 2021, BSU members located and arrested Cook in the 72000 block of Ramon Road, Thousand Palms. Cook was transported and booked at the John Benoit Detention Center, in the city of Indio.
