Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) is excited to announce that, beginning this fall, it is expanding its MSJC Promise program to provide free tuition to more first-time, full-time students.

After a 10 a.m. Memorial Day Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at the Soboba Reservation, visitors made their way to the Veterans Memorial at the far end of the Soboba Cemetery to pay their respects during a Memorial Day Flag Raising ceremony on May 31. Dedicated “to the memory of the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians and non-tribal members who gave their all for us” the shrine was decorated with a wreath and potted flowers in patriotic colors.

Recently, mortgage and refinance rates haven’t made any big moves. “Rates are going to stay more or less fairly close to where they are…through the summer,” predicts Dick Lepre, senior loan advisor at RPM Mortgage. In the coming weeks and months, you should still be able to take advantage of the current mortgage interest rates. But over the course of the year, some experts expect rates to rise in 2021. “The upside risk to rates is, in my opinion, much higher, then the [possibility] of them dropping lower,” says Rich Swerbinksy, president and COO at Mortgage Collaborative.

In 2018, The Historic Hemet Theatre launched Season One of its popular Tribute Mania Concert Series with a Tribute to Bruno Mars, performed by Bruno and the Hooligans. It was the band’s Hemet debut and Bruno fans sold out the show, filling the dance floor and singing at the top of their lungs. The band was scheduled to return last year, but the show became one of 20 concerts lost to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Scientists have found clues that the world’s leading COVID-19 vaccines offer lasting protection that could diminish the need for frequent booster shots, but they caution that more research is needed and that virus mutations are still a wild card.
