In conjunction with the Great American Smokeout observed Nov. 18, the Department of Veterans Affairs is encouraging Veterans to talk to their health care providers about smoking cessation programs to help them quit, as cigarette use continues to decline nationwide.

On November 9, 2020, about 2:46 PM, Jurupa Valley Station Deputies were dispatched to a call of an unresponsive male adult in the 6400 block of Wells Springs Street, city of Eastvale. Upon deputies arrival, it was determined a 19 year old male adult was deceased.

n Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 9:30 A.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force with the assistance of the Coachella Community Action Team, served a search warrant at a residence located in the 84000 block of Via Durango in Coachella. During the service of the search warrant Gang Task Force Officers located a bag containing several hundred fentanyl pills.

On Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 5:21 P.M., Task Force Officers from Region 7 Riverside / Jurupa Valley and Region 6 Perris/Lake Elsinore served a search warrant at a residence in the 5600 block of Tilton Avenue in the city of Jurupa Valley. The search warrant stemmed from a traffic stop where Pedro Anaya, a 46-year-old resident of Jurupa Valley and convicted felon, was found in possession of a loaded 9mm firearm.

The San Jacinto City Council was in a conciliatory mood last night when (after the usual; preliminaries were out of the way, they voted 5-0 to pass all items on the agenda, out of a single negative vote.
