Attention Mobile / Manufactured Home Owners!

Date:

(Attention Mobile)

Golden State Manufactured-home Owners League (GSMOL) will be holding a “Region Nine” meeting for Mobile Home owners of Riverside County on Friday February 14th at 10AM at THE LAKES at Hemet West Mobile Home Estates, 5001 W. Florida Ave. in Hemet, CA.

The primary focus of the meeting will be to explain the“Mobilehome Residency law Protection Program (MRLPP),” which is set to begin July 1, 2020. The MRLPP resulted from GSMOL-sponsored legislation (AB 3066) to create consequences for those MH park operators who don’t treat homeowners fairly, or otherwise violate the MRL. Under the program, homeowners will be able to file complaints for park violations of the MRL such as unfair park rules enforcement, interfering with home sales or imposing illegal fees. Homeowners who file complaints will potentially be provided free legal representation, if necessary.

There will also be discussion on issues of specific concern in Hemet and the need to reactivate the local coalition of mobile/manufactured home communities in the city. Refreshments will be served.

Information on the MRLPP/AB 3066 and GSMOL can be found on the Internet at: www.gsmol.org. Contact GSMOL Zone D VP Tim Sheahan at 760-727-4495 with questions or GSMOL Chapter #488 President Larry Graves at 951-652-8360.
