On Thursday, September 14th, 2023, deputies from the Robert Presley Detention Center were alerted to an unresponsive male inmate in the intake area. Deputies and jail medical personnel immediately administered life-saving measures. Paramedics responded and assumed life-saving measures. However, he was ultimately pronounced deceased.
Investigators from the Corrections Central Investigations Bureau responded and assumed the investigation. The inmate has been identified as 48 year old Damon Bietz, of Riverside.
