Inland Empire Lighthouse for the Blind will stage its 22nd annual Cruise for Sight car show and 50th annual International Chili Society chili cook-off from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 11 in Redlands’ Sylvan Park, at Colton Avenue and University Street.
The car show is open to U.S. hot rods, custom cars, antiques, low-riders, foreign cars, motorcycles and classic Schwinn bicycles, according to the event flyer.
Car show registration fee is $30, and each entry receives a $5 discount on a chili-tasting kit. Sponsor picks and best-of-show plaques will be awarded.
Special guest at the event will be Von Hot Rod, “West Coast Pinstriper to the Cars,” who will sign autographs and pinstripe items, according to the event flyer.

Contestants in the chili cook-off are members of the International Chili Society. Chili tasting starts at 11 a.m.

Admission for the car show and chili cook-off is free for spectators. The cost for a chili-tasting kit is $10.
The event includes raffles, a 50-50 drawing, food and music.
All proceeds benefit Inland Empire Lighthouse for the Blind, an organization offering training for people who are totally blind or legally blind.
