SAN JACINTO — A Hemet man died early Friday in a single-vehicle crash at Ramona Expressway and E Seventh Street.
Deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded at 2:24 a.m. on Sept. 25, 2026, according to a station newsflash, file No. I262680007. They found the vehicle with collision damage. The driver, the sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office later identified him as Alex Mancia-Caceres, 54, of Hemet. Coroner file No. 2026-07093 lists the date of death as Sept. 25, 2026, with time of death found at 2:30 a.m. Next of kin have been notified. The station had withheld the driver’s name pending that notice.
The San Jacinto Station’s Traffic Reconstruction Team assumed the investigation. The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Ramona Expressway was closed between E Main Street and E Seventh Street while deputies worked the scene. The road has since reopened.
