On March 26, 2023, at 3:03 pm, deputies from the Riverside Sheriff’s Thermal Station responded to the report of a robbery in the 41000 Block of Washington Street, Bermuda Dunes. Armed with a handgun, the suspect approached the victim and demanded his property. The suspect, Salvador Abraham Olmedo, a 40-year-old resident of Desert Hot Springs, was located and arrested nearby.

Salvador Abraham Olmedo was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio for robbery and brandishing a replica firearm.
