On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, about 5:52 p.m., deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to the 16600 block of Lakeshore Drive for a report of a robbery. Numerous witnesses reported a suspect assaulted and attempted to steal a wallet from a citizen who was conducting business at an automated teller machine (ATM).

On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, the Perris Station Robbery Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) began working a series of armed robberies that occurred at several restaurants in the Perris area between November 6 and November 7, 2023.

On November 8, 2023, members of the Riverside Sheriff’s Office served search warrants at the 600 block of West 8th Street, San Bernardino, and the 9700 block of Budlong Avenue, Los Angeles. During the search warrant service, two suspects were identified and arrested. Destiny Baca, an 18-year-old resident of San Bernardino, and Analea Miller, a 24-year-old resident of Los Angeles, were arrested for robbery and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.

California Gov. Newsom is losing support among state voters. For the first time since taking office in 2019, more California voters disapprove of the job he is doing (49%) than approve (44%), according to a new poll from the University of California-Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies released Tuesday.

Progress has never been achieved by pressing pause. In June, the Little Hoover Commission suggested that California’s short-lived pollutant reduction law, Senate Bill 1383, a first-of-its-kind legislation aimed at reducing organic waste in landfills, should be paused. However, the commission’s recommendation is shortsighted.
