On April 10, 2023, Lake Mathews Station investigators were contacted by the Orange County (Florida) Sheriff’s Department reference a sexual assault that occurred in the 1900 block of Pine Crest Drive, in the unincorporated area of Coronita.

Stalking and Weapons Investigation Leads to Arrest

On June 18, 2023, at 5:50 PM, the Riverside Sheriff’s Southwest Station received a report of stalking in the area of Monte Drive, Temecula. The suspect, Derek Cervantes a 36 year-old resident of Ontario, fled the scene and was not immediately located.

On 06/25/23, at 4:40 p.m., deputies assigned to the Cabazon Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to a shooting that occurred on the 1500 block of Elm Street, Cabazon. Upon arriving, deputies located a deceased female victim suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle.
