Humana, the country’s second-largest seller of Medicare Advantage (MA) plans, told readers that “with Medicare Advantage, seniors save an average of $1,640 in annual out-of-pocket spending compared to fee-for-service Medicare.” Humana added that it was “committed to affordable quality care,” echoing that shopworn slogan from the marketing pitch used to sell Obamacare in 2009.

On Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at 7:30 PM, Gang Task Force Officers from Region 2 assisted the Beaumont Police Department with conducting surveillance on a stolen vehicle that was parked in the parking lot of a business in the 1500 block of 2nd Street, in the City of Beaumont. Moments later, a male suspect who was later identified as Corey Parisi, a 35-year-old from the City San Jacinto, quickly got into the vehicle and sped off at a high rate of speed. A vehicle pursuit ensued, and Gang Task Force Officers took over the vehicle pursuit. With the assistance of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Aviation Unit, Emergency Service Team Members, K-9 Unit, and the California Highway Patrol, the pursuit went from the City of Beaumont and into the City of Riverside.

VA brings more appointees aboard

Before joining VA Chavez-Fernandez led the two New Jersey offices as state director for Senator Robert Menendez and was the New Jersey advisor and deputy campaign manager during Menendez’s run for Senate. At Mercury Public Affairs he served as senior associate providing legislative, regulatory and political action analysis. He also served as a legislative aide for New Jersey Assemblywoman Annette Quijano.
