Almost daily, someone approaches me about writing a book. Giving assistance on the wing is not the best way to advise anyone serious about writing or struggling with one of the many snags writers stumble into. I will answer your questions and assist in any way a mentor would.
You don’t have to become alone and lonely
Why are so many people, or claim to be, alone and lonely? Not a day goes by that you don’t hear someone say, I’m so alone or lonely for some reason or other. With all your friends and close relatives, you have no idea what they are talking about.
Turning eighteen can be a turn-off
So you are now eighteen and nobody can tell you what to do anymore. You suddenly know it all and life as an adult is the greatest thing that ever happened. Not so fast my friend.
Emotions all too often overrule common sense
Have you ever wondered, “Why does she hang on to that jerk? He’s terrible for her. It is obvious to everyone except the person with the emotional attachment. Why do we have love at first sight? We don’t know anything about the object of affection. There is no rhyme or reason for the attraction - only emotion.
The hoopla has come and gone – what does it all mean?
Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Remembrance Sunday, Armed Forces Day - everybody hoops it up a week or two before it happens and then poof - the flags come down, the flowers soon fade on the graves and take a ride to the trash bin.
