On May 10, 2023, at 7:39 P.M., deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Moreno Valley Station responded to the report of a shooting near the 12000 block of Carnation Lane, in the City of Moreno Valley.
Homicide
On May 7, 2023, a homicide occurred in the city of Lake Elsinore. Samuel Anthony Salazar was identified as a person of interest and is wanted for questioning in relation to the homicide.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Child Endangerment Suspect Apprehended
On May 7, 2023, at approximately 3:04 AM, deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to a residence in the 19000 block of Ford Avenue in the unincorporated community of Sky Valley regarding a negligent discharge of a firearm.

On May 9, 2023, at 3:30 pm, deputies from the Norco Station responded to a report of a juvenile medical aid at the 100 block of 8th Street in Norco. When deputies arrived, they found a female 17-month old juvenile not breathing.
