Murder
On August 26, 2021, at about 12:06 p.m., deputies from the Perris Sheriff Station began a robbery and assault with a deadly weapon at a market in the 22700 block of San Jacinto Ave., Perris. During the robbery, a male victim was assaulted and transported to a local hospital. The suspect vehicle was located at an address on Mt. Shasta in Perris and surveillance was conducted by the Perris Burglary Suppression Team.
Gang Member Arrested for Narcotic Sales
On August 11, 2021 at 2:30 p.m., members of the Region 4 Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force attempted to serve a felony arrest warrant at a large acerage property in the 24000 block of Bundy Canyon Road in the City of Wildomar. The subject later identified as Danny Rodriguez, a subject on Post Release Community Supervision and a documented criminal street gang member, refused to exit the residence and surrender to task force officers.
Firearm and Narcotics Located During Search Warrant Service
On August 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., Members of the Region 4 Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force along with assistance from the Region 7 Corona / Jurupa Valley Gang Task Force served a search warrant at a residence in the 16200 block of Gunnerson Street in Lake Elsinore. As a result of the search, task force deputies and officers located a handgun, suspected Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and controlled substance pills. A 34-year-old resident identified as April Gamliel was arrested on a variety of narcotic, weapon, and outstanding warrant related charges.
Marijuana Cultivation Search Warrant
On Wednesday, August 25, 2021, personnel from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department-Perris Station, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, and Riverside County Code Enforcement served six marijuana cultivation related search warrants in the unincorporated area known as Nuevo. Over 1700 plants were eradicated, nearly 1100 pounds of processed marijuana was seized, and four stolen vehicles were recovered.
Fatal Traffic Collision – Friday, August 27
On Friday, August 27, 2021 about 10:08 PM, deputies from Riverside County Sheriff’s Department - Perris Station responded to a major injury traffic collision near the intersection of Perris Blvd and Orange Avenue in the city of Perris. Deputies arrived within minutes and located a solo vehicle collision involving a red Honda Pilot. The driver of the Honda suffered major injuries and life-saving measures were attempted; however, the driver succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Their identity is not being released at this time.
