Fatal Traffic Collision
On Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 6:50 p.m., deputies from the Riverside Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station, responded to the intersection of Eucalyptus Avenue and Sweetspice Street, Moreno Valley, reference a single-vehicle traffic collision.
Suspect Identified in Series of Vehicle Burglaries
On December 10, 2023, Lake Mathews Station deputies responded to the Lake Hills area of Riverside County reference a series of vehicle burglaries. During the burglaries, numerous vehicles were broken in to resulting in the theft of various items. The Lake Mathews Special Enforcement Team assumed the investigation.
Cemetery Theft and Vandalism Suspect Arrested
At the end of December 2023, local media outlets aired a news story involving theft of gravestone flowers from a cemetery located in the 18100 block of Collier Avenue in Lake Elsinore.
Fatal Traffic Collision
On January 1, 2024, around 3:23 a.m., deputies assigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Elsinore Station, located an overturned vehicle off the side of Lakeshore Drive, south of Manning Street, in the city of Lake Elsinore.
Deputy-Involved Shooting
At 4:51 p.m., deputies from the Riverside Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit and Lake Elsinore Special Enforcement Team located two subjects in the Temecula area matching the description of the outstanding suspects. Deputies attempted a vehicle stop, but the vehicle failed to yield, and a pursuit was initiated.
