On October 5, 2023, at 1:15 a.m., deputies from the Sheriff’s Moreno Valley Station responded to the report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 22900 block of Chambray Drive Moreno Valley.
Burglary Suspect Arrested
On October 3, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., the Palm Desert Station’s Burglary Suppression Unit, assisted by Rancho Mirage and the Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team, served a search warrant in the 400 block of Prairie, Cathedral City.
Homicide (Update)
The victim in this case was identified as 65-year-old Steven Fineran, and the female suspect was identified as the victim’s girlfriend, 67-year-old Dani Runyan, both residents of Perris. Runyan was arrested for murder and booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center.
