Gorgeous girl with such a cute face. Erica is sweet as sugar and only wants to be your friend. She came to us originally as a stray, was adopted, but sadly returned because they said she was afraid of their 2-year-old.

Many older adults experience feelings of loneliness and isolation as they age, but pets can provide the companionship and love seniors desire. A new survey conducted by Home Instead, Inc., franchisor of the Home Instead Senior Care Network, found regular interaction with animals can help to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness in older adults.

Whether or not dogs dream isn’t known with scientific certainty, but it sure is difficult to imagine that they don’t. We’ve all watched our dogs demonstrate behaviors in their sleep that resemble what they do in a fully awake state. Paddling legs, whining, growling, wagging tails, chewing jowls, and twitching noses inspire us to wonder what our dogs are dreaming about.

Travis came in as a stray, is about five years old and weighs 20 pounds, and loves to make cute giggle noises when he gets excited during playtime. Travis is up to date on his vaccines, de-wormed, neutered, and is available now.
