SOBOBA OPENS VICTIMS ASSISTANCE CENTER

Soboba’s Department of Public Safety works hard to provide needed services for all residents of the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians Reservation and surrounding areas. Always looking for ways to continue its important work, Director of Public Safety Brian Herritt recently applied for and received a grant to open a Victims Assistance Center near the DPS offices.

California panel urges changes to reduce criminal sentences

California should allow all but death row inmates and those spending life behind bars without the chance of parole to request lighter sentences after they serve at least 15 years, one piece of a dramatic overhaul of the state’s sentencing laws that an advisory committee to Gov. Gavin Newsom recommended Tuesday.

IS JOE MALES A HEMET CITY COUNCILMAN OR IS HE NOT

On November 3, 2021, Joe S. Males was elected to the Hemet City Council in the Fourth District of Hemet, replacing Bonnie Wright, who vacated the seat on July 9, 2020, and moved out of State. However, she did not “formally” submit her resignation until July 28, 2020.
