Soboba Celebrates Advancement of All Students

Schools located on the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians Reservation celebrated the advancement of students during a busy week. Noli Indian School, which serves grades 6-12, had a promotion program for its eighth graders on May 31 and a commencement ceremony for its seniors on June 1. Soboba Tribal Preschool kindergartners were celebrated on June 3.

Eagle Feather Ceremony Held for Native American Graduates

The Southern California Tribal Chairman’s Association hosted an Eagle Feather Ceremony for all the Tribes that belong to the multi-service, nonprofit organization. The Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians were invited to join in 2020.

Statewide Initiative Supports Behavioral Health of I.E. Youth

Amidst a national youth behavioral health crisis, Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) is partnering with Molina Healthcare, County Behavioral Health, the Offices of Education in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, and select local school districts and charter schools to implement the Student Behavioral Health Incentive Program (SBHIP).

Soboba Honors Its Fallen on Memorial Day

Prior to Monday’s Memorial Day Flag Raising ceremony at the Soboba Cemetery, miniature flags were placed at the gravesites of veterans. At dawn, members of the Soboba Fire Department raised the American flag, located on the center flagpole behind the Veterans’ Memorial, to full staff and then slowly lowered it to half-staff to honor America’s fallen servicemen and women.
