Palm Desert Station Burglary Suppression Unit (BSU) conducted further investigation regarding several commercial burglaries that occurred between the dates of September 10, 2021 and September 25, 2021 within the cities of Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage. The suspect in these cases forced his way into locked businesses, taking merchandise from each location. After a lengthy investigation, BSU identified Jose Urbano, 38 years of Indio, as a suspect for his involvement in the burglaries. On October 5, 2021, BSU members located and arrested Urbano in the 82000 block of Dr. Carreon Blvd., Indio. Urbano was transported and booked at the John Benoit Detention Center, in the city of Indio on several counts of Commercial Burglary.
