Lake Elsinore Assault with a Deadly Weapon

On Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 7:14 PM, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s station responded to the area of Joy Street and Riverside Drive, in the city of Lake Elsinore, reference a call of an assault with a deadly weapon.

Deputies arrived and located a Ford Ranger that had struck a pedestrian and driven through a wrought iron gate. The driver of the Ford Ranger, Anthony Trejo, age 56, a resident of Lake Elsinore was detained at the scene.  The victim was medically treated and later released. During the investigation it was discovered the suspect had intentionally drove his vehicle into the victim. Upon further investigation deputies discovered the Ford Ranger the suspect was driving was stolen out of Oceanside, CA.

Anthony Trejo was arrested and booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center on the charges of assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Coachella Valley Couple Arrested for Narcotics Sales during Search Warrant

On Friday, October 11, 2019, at 6:00 A.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force served a search warrant at a residence in the 46000 block of Calhoun Street in Indio.  During the search warrant Task Force Officers seized heroin, methamphetamine, ammunition and evidence of illegal narcotics sales. Aristeo Zamora Arroyo, 33 of Indio and Raquel Romero, 52 of Indio were arrested for Possession of Narcotics for Sales.  Romero was booked at the Indio Jail. Arroyo was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation related to a preexisting medical condition. Charges will be filed on both suspects.

Palm Desert – Driving Under the Influence Arrest- Traffic Collision

On October 15, 2019 at 06:42 p.m., Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Deputies assigned to the city of Rancho Mirage, responded to a report of a traffic collision, wherein a vehicle struck a pole. Deputies responded to the 72000 block of Clancy Lane, Rancho Mirage, where the collision occurred. The driver, Keith Brian Nichols, 59 of Alexandria, Virginia, was arrested for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence. Nichols was booked at Indio Jail after receiving precautionary medical treatment. No other vehicle appeared to be involved in the collision. No significant injuries were reported as a result of the collision.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department encourages all drivers not to drink and drive. To report drunk drivers, please call 911. Palm Desert – Driving Under the Influence Arrest-Traffic Collision

On October 16, 2019 at 01:01 a.m., Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Deputies assigned to the city of Palm Desert, responded to a report of a traffic collision, wherein a vehicle struck a curb. Deputies responded to the 72000 block of Hwy 111, Palm Desert, where the collision occurred. The driver, Elizabeth Bribiesca, 24 of Indio was arrested for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence. Bribiesca was booked at Indio Jail after receiving precautionary medical treatment. No other vehicle appeared to be involved in the collision. No significant injuries were reported as a result of the collision.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department encourages all drivers not to drink and drive. To report drunk drivers, please call 911.
