Fatal Traffic Collision

On Wednesday, December 15, 2021, about 7:11 A.M., deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Jurupa Valley Station, responded to the report of a major injury traffic collision at the intersection of Limonite Avenue and Clay Street, in the city of Jurupa Valley. Deputies and Cal Fire arrived on-scene and located a two-vehicle accident. The driver of one vehicle succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Cal Fire paramedics. The passenger of the same vehicle was transported for medical evaluation, as well as the driver of the second vehicle.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the location and assumed the investigation. It remains unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision.

Both directions of Limonite Avenue between Spectrum Center and Baldwin Avenue were closed and Clay Street from De Anza to Limonite Avenue were closed for the duration of the investigation. The identity of the deceased will not be released pending further investigation and the notification to the next of kin.
