On Thursday, January 20th, 2022, the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force served a search warrant at a residence in the 73000 block of Pacheta Square in Thousand Palms. During the service of the search warrant Gang Task Force Officers located multiple firearms and ammunition including a Rifle belonging to convicted felon and documented criminal street gang member, Brandon Myers, 33 of Desert Hot Springs. The firearms located during the search warrant did not have serial numbers and are commonly referred to as “Ghost Guns.” Myers was out on bail for a previous illegal possession of firearms charge that Gang Task Force Officers arrested him for in August of 2021. At the conclusion of today’s search warrant, Gang Task Force Officers placed Myers under arrest and charged him with being a Convicted Felon in Possession of Firearms, Convicted Felon in Possession of Ammunition, and Committing a Felony While on Bail. Myers was subsequently booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio.
