The victim in this case was identified as Michael Moser, a 66-year-old resident of Palm Springs. This investigation remains open and no further information will be released at this time.

Details:

On March 24, 2022, at 6:56 p.m., Cabazon Station deputies responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call at the Desert Hills Premium Outlet Stores, 48650 Seminole Dr., Cabazon. Upon arrival, deputies were directed to a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel arrived and attempted life-saving measures, but the victim succumbed to his injuries. The scene was secured, and the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The victim’s identity will not be released pending notification to next of kin.

This investigation is currently on-going and no further information will be released at this time.
