Details:

On November 19, 2022, at 3:00 AM, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to Etiwanda Avenue and Jurupa Road in Jurupa Valley to investigate a report of a man down in the roadway. Upon arrival, deputies determined the victim, later identified as Ismael Martinez, a 49-year-old male resident of Jurupa, had been shot and died from his injuries. The suspect(s) fled the area prior to the arrival of deputies. Investigators from the Central Homicide Unit and Jurupa Valley Station responded and assumed the investigation. This is an active and ongoing investigation and additional details are not currently available. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department asks anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Investigator Adams of the Central Homicide Unit at 951–955–2777.
