Update:

The fourth suspect involved in this case was identified as Manuel Rico, 37-year-old of Perris. On March, 13, 2023, at about 9:00 p.m., Rico was detained during a traffic stop in the unincorporated area of Perris. The Central Homicide Unit and Major Crimes Unit served a search warrant at Rico’s residence in the city of Perris.

Rico was arrested for murder and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center. The investigation is still active and no further information will be released at this time.

Update:

Two additional suspects were identified in this case, as Enrique Rojas, 37 years of Murrieta, and Richard Smith 23 of Hemet. On March 10, 2023, at about 4:20 a.m., Rojas was arrested in front of his home in Murrieta. At about 1:20 p.m., Smith was arrested during a traffic stop in the city of Hemet. Central Homicide Unit investigators with the assistance of the Major Crimes Unit and Emergency Services Team, served search warrants at both of the suspects’ residences.

Rojas was arrested for murder and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center. Smith was also arrested for murder and booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center. The investigation is still active and no further information will be released at this time.

Update:

During the course of this investigation, one of the suspects was identified as Jose Daniel Aguilar, 29 years of Orange. Aguilar was arrested on March 5, 2023, after a traffic stop in the city of Moreno Valley. Aguilar was booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center. The investigation is currently on-going and no further information will be released at this time.

Details:

On February 26, 2023, at about 6:22 p.m., deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station were dispatched to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 38000 block of Via Majorca, La Cresta. Upon arrival, deputies found an adult male with gunshot wounds. Deputies attempted life saving measures until paramedics arrived. The male victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Deputies secured the area as a crime scene and investigators from the Lake Elsinore Station responded. The Central Homicide Unit also responded and assumed the investigation.

The victim was identified as Andrew Cisneros, 35 years of La Cresta. There were at least two suspects involved, who fled the location in an unknown vehicle. The investigation is currently on-going and no further information will be released at this time.
