Update:

The suspect in this case, Paul Galindo, was involved in an Officer Involved Shooting in the city of Redlands, on April 8, 2023, around 10:00 a.m. Galindo was taken to a local hospital where he is being treated and is in stable condition. Upon his discharge from the hospital, Galindo will be arrested for murder, and booked into a Riverside County jail.

The investigation is currently on-going and no further information will be released at this time. Details:

On April 7, 2023, at about 11:38 p.m., deputies assigned to the Hemet Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to a report of an Unknown Trouble in the 42000 block of Faith Dr., East Hemet. Upon arrival, deputies found a female victim inside the residence suffering from traumatic injuries to her upper torso. Emergency medical personnel arrived, but the victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Based on witness statements, this case was determined to be a domestic violence related homicide, The area was secured as a crime scene and station investigators responded to begin the investigation. The Central Homicide Unit also responded and assumed the investigation.

The victim was identified as Brandi Galindo, 40 years of Hemet. The suspect was identified as Paul Galindo, 57 years of Hemet. Galindo fled the area prior to deputies’ arrival, and his whereabouts are unknown. The investigation is currently on-going and no further information will be released at this time.
