NATIONAL NIGHT OUT – DRIVE THRU EDITION

Date:

This year, the Riverside Police Department will be doing National Night Out (NNO) a little different. To help maintain social distancing and limit the spread of COVID-19, we will coming by the various City of Riverside neigbhorhoods in a drive-by parade, which will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

If you would like to register your neighborhood for National Night Out with RPD, please go to https://riversideca.gov/rpd/community-services-bureau/national-night-out. Applications will be accepted until September 25th. Would you like our NNO drive-by parade to go by your neighborhood? Then be one of the first 30 neighborhoods to register and we will make sure to have the police, fire, and city officials drive by.

We are asking all those participating in National Night Out 2020 to follow all CDC COVID-19 social distancing guidelines with your neighbors. Please note that large gatherings are not allowed right now and your local officials will not be stopping to visit, but simply driving by to say “hi” to those registered participating neighborhoods.

The Annual National Night Out (NNO) is a community-wide crime prevention program sponsored locally by the Riverside Police Department and our local businesses. NNO is sponsored nationally by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), ADT, Target, and Nextdoor.com. NNO is an annual event held throughout the United States to promote cooperation between the police and the community.
