Pursuit of Armed and Dangerous Carjacking Suspect

On Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 3:30 a.m., deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station located a vehicle wanted in connection to an armed carjacking and kidnapping in the City of San Bernardino. The driver was later identified as Anthony De La Rosa, 22-year-old resident of Perris. Deputies attempted to stop De La Rosa, but he failed to yield, and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. De La Rosa’s vehicle became disabled, and he fled on foot into the residential neighborhood.

Additional deputies arrived on the scene, established a perimeter, and conducted an extensive search. De La Rosa was located and apprehended without incident. De La Rosa was booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for driving a stolen vehicle and evading.
