On February 3, 2023, deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station began investigating allegations of a sexual assault of a minor that occurred in the 11000 block of Hummingbird Pl. in the city of Moreno Valley. Investigators from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station assumed the investigation and arrested the 55-year-old suspect, David Anthony Padilla. During the investigation, it was learned Padilla was under investigation for similar incidents in the city of Upland and the state of Hawaii.
The suspect was transported and booked into Robert Presley Detention Center on sexual assault charges.
