Gang Task Force Arrests Gang Members with Firearms During Search Warrant Services

On Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 6:00 a.m. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force with the assistance of Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Bureau, United States Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC), Riverside County Gang Task Force Region 3, Region 4 and Region 7, Riverside County Sheriff’s Thermal Station Special Investigations Unit, La Quinta Special Enforcement Team, California Highway Patrol K9 Team and Riverside County PACT, served search warrants at three residences in the eastern Coachella Valley.

Gang Task Force Arrests Gang Members with Firearms

On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 6:45 P.M., the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force, with the assistance of the Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team, conducted an operation that resulted in the arrest of two documented criminal street gang members for firearms-related offenses.

On Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 3:33 PM, Region 3 Gang Task Force Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the 1700 Block of West Stetson Avenue, in the City of Hemet, on a Volkswagen sedan for several vehicle code violations.

On Friday, May 13, 2022, at approximately 1:43 pm, Deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station were notified of a suspect with an outstanding violation of Parole warrant, and considered armed and dangerous.

Commercial Burglary Arrests

Palm Desert Station Burglary Suppression Unit (BSU) conducted further investigation regarding several commercial burglaries that occurred at a local self-storage center during the past few months. BSU identified convicted felon, Blaine Sniffen, 50 years of Palm Desert, and Valori McFann, 31 years of Palm Desert for their involvement.
