The victim in this homicide investigation has been identified as Jeremy M. Abshear, 48-year-old resident of North Palm Springs. Investigators have identified and arrested two suspects in connection with this homicide investigation.

On May, 16, 2023, at 5:04 a.m., deputies assigned to the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to a shooting that occurred on the 64000 block of 16th Avenue, in North Palm Springs.

On May 7, 2023, a homicide occurred in the city of Lake Elsinore. Samuel Anthony Salazar was identified as a person of interest and is wanted for questioning in relation to the homicide.

On May 9, 2023, at 3:30 pm, deputies from the Norco Station responded to a report of a juvenile medical aid at the 100 block of 8th Street in Norco. When deputies arrived, they found a female 17-month old juvenile not breathing.

On May 07, 2023, at about 2:09 p.m., deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff Station responded to a report of a medical aid call in the 33100 block of Jamieson St., Lake Elsinore. Deputies arrived within minutes and located a male victim with gunshot wounds. The male victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
