On Saturday, August 15, 2020, about 9:52 A.M. deputies responded to a residence in the 6400 block of Peridot Court, in the city of Eastvale, in reference to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.

At 12:00 pm this afternoon, Hunter was located in San Bernardino County and arrested for the murder of his wife. On Monday, August 10, 2020, around 9:15 am, officers from the California Highway Patrol located a possible stolen golf cart at a recycling shop in Indio. Officers traced the golf cart to a residence in the 54000 block of Southern Hills in La Quinta. Officers responded to the residence in an effort to contact the homeowner and find out if they knew the whereabouts of their golf cart. When the officers arrived at the residence they found signs of a break-in. Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department-Thermal Station were called to the scene to investigate the break-in.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department/Norco Station will hold a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and Driver’s License Checkpoint on Friday, August 14, from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am at an undisclosed location within the city limits. Checkpoint locations are chosen based on a history of DUI crashes and arrests. The primary purpose of checkpoints is not to make arrests, but to promote public safety by deterring drivers from driving impaired.

On Saturday, August 1, 2020, at 3:26 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Southwest Station responded to a reported carjacking near the intersection of Highway 79 and Sage Road, in unincorporated Temecula.
