A veteran central California firefighter was fatally shot Monday when he and others responded to a report of a dumpster fire and authorities arrested a suspect, officials said.

Two arrests have been made in connection with a shooting outside a Temecula bar Sunday night that left a 28-year-old father dead and two other people fighting for their lives, officials say.
The shooting happened after a possible argument broke out just before 11 p.m. in the 28600 block of Old Town Front Street outside a bar called The Bank, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said. Investigators believe one of the suspects shot all three victims while standing in the outside patio of the bar, before leaving the area on foot with another suspect.
On Tuesday, January 11, 2022, about 9:09 A.M., deputies from the Cabazon Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a suspect armed with a knife at a business in the 1000 block of Cherry Valley Boulevard in Calimesa. The suspect had already slashed the tires of two customers in the parking lot of the business before a deputy arrived on scene.
On Sunday, January 2nd, 2022, around 1:25 PM, Lake Elsinore Station deputies were dispatched to a home in the 34600 block of Orange Street, in the city of Wildomar, reference a suicidal subject. Dispatch advised the subject admitted to being in possession of a rifle, wanting to kill himself, and stated he was at the residence trying to make contact with the occupant.
