On June 17, 2023, at 7:51 p.m., deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of State Street and Ramona Expressway, San Jacinto, for a report of a carjacking that just occurred. A resident called 911 to report he had just been carjacked at gunpoint by a man who arranged to purchase his car, which was listed for sale on Craigslist.
On Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 3:51 p.m., deputies spoke with a carjacking victim in the lobby of the Perris Station. The victim stated about 12:41 p.m., she was in her vehicle on the side of the road near Nuevo Road and Pico Avenue in Nuevo when an older white male adult, between 50-60 years old, walked up and pointed a silver handgun at her demanding her vehicle.
On May 3, 2023, at approximately 1:12 a.m., the Riverside Sheriff’s Southwest Station deputies responded to a business in the 27000 block of Jefferson Avenue in the City of Temecula, reference an armed robbery.
January of 2023, deputies from the Palm Desert Burglary Suppression Unit began an ongoing investigation related to several commercial, residential, and Desert X vehicle burglaries.
On March 17, 2023, at approximately 7:07 PM, Southwest Station deputies responded to an Islamic Center in the 31000 Block of Nicolas Road in the City of Temecula, reference a burglary. It was learned the suspect broke into an interior office door and took a locked box containing money donated to the mosque.
