Two Juvenile Gang Members Arrested for a Shooting in Coachella

On November 2, 2022, at 4:20 PM, members of the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) responded to the intersection of Balboa Street and Westerfield Way in the city of Coachella regarding a shooting incident. The investigation revealed two subjects exited a vehicle and fired multiple shots towards multiple residences. A canvass of the neighborhood was conducted and no one was found to be injured as a result of the shooting. During the investigation, CCAT deputies identified two male juveniles, who are documented criminal street gang members, as the shooting suspects.

On November 4, 2022, at 2:05 AM, patrol deputies and CCAT members responded to a residence in the 52300 block of Calle Camacho in the city of Coachella and arrested both juveniles. Suspected methamphetamine and items indicative of the sale of narcotics were located and seized. One of the male juveniles was booked at the Indio Juvenile Hall for shooting at an occupied dwelling and possession of methamphetamine for sale. The other male juvenile was booked at the Indio Juvenile Hall for shooting at an occupied dwelling, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a felony warrant for assault with a deadly weapon.
