1 Boy Dead, 2nd Injured In RivCo Shooting

WILDOMAR, CA — One boy was killed and another was injured in a shooting in Wildomar Friday night, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies responded to the 21000 block of Waite Street at around 10:30 p.m. Friday following a report regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. There, they found a teen boy suffering from gunshot wounds, deputies said.

First responders offered first aid to the boy before transporting him to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, deputies said.

A second boy was found at the scene suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, deputies said.

The sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting. No arrests have been reported.
