For 43 years, Riverside’s Mission Inn has conducted the Mission Inn 5 and 10Kruns throughout the City of Riverside. Since the Mission Inn was not running one this year due to COVID-19, Golden Era’s Truth About Drugs decided to do a Virtual Run with all protocols and social distancing throughout Golden Era Productions Campus on Sunday Morning, November 1st.
It has ever so often been said, "Necessity is the mother of invention." Due to the Coronavirus, night-time has been dimmed to a flicker in most musical venues. However, I witnessed something recently when the Derby Bar and Grille introduced a special kind of entertainment under the stars as Neil Morrow opened his Piano on the Patio show. Neil and guitarist Travis Daggert caused the stars to shine brighter and toe-tapping a retro form of keeping time.
The Soboba Fire Department recently added a new vehicle to its fleet, and it has already proven to be a perfect fit. Chief Glenn Patterson said he recognized the need for a patrol truck and once funding became available, he was able to start the search.
