Biden gets COVID-19 vaccine, says ‘nothing to worry about’

President-elect Joe Biden on Monday received his first dose of the coronavirus vaccine on live television as part of a growing effort to convince the American public the inoculations are safe.

VA to begin COVID-19 vaccinations at 128 additional sites

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will begin COVID-19 vaccinations this week at 128 additional sites using the Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines.

Major Traffic Collision

On December 20, 2020, about 2:40 AM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Moreno Valley Station, responded to the report of a major injury traffic collision on Gilman Springs Road, south of Alessandro Boulevard, in the city of Moreno Valley. Deputies arrived on-scene to find there was a single vehicle involved, occupied only by the driver.

Arrests Made in Connection to Series of Burglaries

On December 19, 2020, La Quinta Special Enforcement Team deputies conducted a follow-up investigation that stemmed from a series of burglaries occurred at a storage facility located at the 46000 block of Adams Street, in La Quinta. Deputies identified a third suspect involved in the burglaries.

Fatal Hit and Run Traffic Collision

On December 18,2020, about 7:14 PM, La Quinta deputies responded to a call of a vehicle versus pedestrian hit and run traffic collision on Highway 111 west of Dune Palms Road in La Quinta. Investigation revealed an unknown driver was traveling westbound on Highway 111 west of Dune Palms Road and struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway.
