Former Mayor Robin Lowe, welcome to the “political notebook”

October 30, 2019

Mr. Mark Lentine

Editor,

The Hemet & San Jacinto Chronicle

555 E. Florida Avenue

Hemet, CA 92543

Dear Mr. Lentine:

Thank you for the opportunity to meet with you yesterday. It was a surprising pleasure – East meets West! I also want to extend to you a welcome to our Valley. After many years of disappointment, it appears we may have an unbiased news publication again. I am hopeful that you will be able to provide that for the citizens of our community.

As an active member of this community, I appreciate the fact that you are reaching out to the people of Hemet, asking for their opinions and concerns regarding the serious problems facing our city. I must admit that I was surprised, but grateful.

I believe the Fourth Estate has a responsibility to be unbiased and truthful, and Government has an obligation to its citizens to be transparent.

I look forward to working with you in the future.

Sincerely,

C. Robin Lowe

Robin Lowe is former mayor (R) of Hemet. Her remarks are greatly appreciated.
