Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Stabbing

Details:

On April 24, 2023, at 10:20 P.M., deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the report of a stabbing in the 23000 block of Hemlock Avenue, in the City of Moreno Valley. Upon arrival, deputies located a 37-year-old male suffering from a stab wound. As a result, the victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time.

Kohler booked on murder, hit-run death after Palm Avenue scooter crash

Mason Drew Kohler, 31, was booked on felony murder, hit-and-run death, and DUI charges, according to the Riverside County jail roster, which lists a Hemet PD arrest at Palm Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue. Hemet police say two pedestrians on an electric scooter were struck there about 6:55 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22; one was pronounced dead. Police have not named the driver, and the decedent's identity remains withheld.
